Who we are

Long Game Golf Limited is the controller of the personal data described here. We are registered in Ireland under number 824176, at 625 Clonard Road, Crumlin, Dublin 12, D12 C5F2, Ireland. Contact us at info@longgamejournals.com.

What we collect

  • Orders. Your name, email, delivery and billing address, phone number if you give one, and what you bought. We need this to take payment, deliver your order and deal with any returns, so the legal basis is our contract with you. Card details are handled by Shopify's payment processing; we never see or store them.
  • Marketing emails. Only if you tick the box at checkout. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time.
  • Website analytics. Pages visited, approximate region, device and browser type, and how you arrived. We use this to understand how the site is used, which is our legitimate interest.
  • Anything you email us. Your address and whatever you write, kept so we can reply.

Cookies and local storage

We use no advertising cookies and never sell your data. Google Analytics sets cookies to measure visits. Vercel, who host the site, collect anonymous traffic statistics without cookies. The site stores your shopping bag's ID in your browser, so your bag survives a refresh, and Shopify sets the cookies checkout needs to work. You can clear all of this through your browser settings.

Who we share it with

  • Shopify, which runs our checkout, payments and order records.
  • Delivery companies, who receive your name and address to deliver your order.
  • Google, for analytics and for our email.
  • Vercel, who host this website.

Each processes data on our behalf. Where data leaves the European Economic Area, the transfer relies on Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for six years, as Irish tax law requires. Marketing consent lasts until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is retained by Google for up to 14 months. Emails are kept for as long as we need them to deal with your query.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of any data we hold about you, to correct or delete it, or to restrict or object to how it's used. Email us and we'll respond within one month. If you're unhappy with our response you can complain to the Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.
